Directly underneath the polyurethane glue is a layer of elastic fibers that absorb impact and reduce the pressure on the joints. This mat features 4 hole locations for tee inserts, and is also best used with simulator tees like the Tomahawk NEO plastic tee, the Bir-Tee, or the versatile TeeClaw that allows the use a real golf tee.
